We are always on the look out for new members who are keen to pick up an oar and get in a boat! Whilst we have many four legged members of the club, who regularly join in our Coastal Walks, we would love more two legged members to join us.
Gig Rowing is great fun, and a good all round work out. We have members from 12 through to their 70's and it is a great social club. You can compete in your squads in regular regattas (when COVID restrictions allow) or if you can join in more social rowing or fitness sessions. We are an inclusive, supportive, fun club and want people to develop a love for Gig Rowing, like we all have.
Most of the members have learnt in Portishead Marina, and have taken part in the Learn To Row, and some are now rowing in the World Championships. If you are interested, our Learn to Rows will commence next year, so please put your name on the waiting list. In particular we are now looking for men or all ages and under 40's, both men and Ladies. If you go to our Join Us page on the website you will find more details and where you can sign up. If you already a Gig Rower, you will not need to go through our Learn To Row process, just a quick classroom safety refresher.
