We finally got back out on the water this weekend - and it felt amazing! It's been 13 months since we've able to see our boats out in Portishead Marina, and to see a crew go out was an awesome sight. The youth were the lucky ones to go out first, and they didn't look at all rusty. Just as if they were rowing last weekend!
Each squad will be out this week, weather permitting, and we are looking forward to seeing those smiles and hearing that familiar click of the pins.
It's taken so much work by so many different people to get the kit ready, risk assessments done, COVID protocol communicated to the club. We're really grateful to everyone for making this work. We've all missed being on the water, and yes it now does take a while to get in the boat, but we know we are keeping everyone safe by following the procedures.
