Last weekend we set ourselves a challenge to cover the kms from Portishead to the Isles of Scilly and back again. We were supposed to be rowing in the World Championships in the Isles of Scilly, but of course this has been cancelled due to COVID. At times like this, we try to be positive instead, so we put our training to good use and covered over 1200kms and raised over £950 for @portishead_youth_centre.
We achieved our kilometres through erging together, running, walking, swimming. It is great to be supporting our local centre in such difficult times. They do a fantastic job in supporting our young people in Portishead.
With over 20 members taking part in the effort including some of our junior members, it was a good team performance that again not helped others but helped to maintain our fitness and keep up our spirits.
